time time time

Odd how everytime I look at this thing another several weeks have passed by. Time for a change. I need some new excitement. Tired of just running. Soccer is pretty fun but the mens games are from 8:30 - 12:30... well I am an early riser so a tuesday night game at 11:30 pretty much kicks my butt and I am worthless the next day... maybe another league next time.

Another Year eh


Welcome my people to another year. 2007 begins with a kind of strange workout plan. Generally I am running alot in the winter but this time I am playing alot of soccer and focusing on wind sprints and getting breathless. Maybe I can get my vo2 max up enough to make it more than 10 minutes on the field without crawling out for a sub. Well I am having fun with the soccer thing and I think I am in better shape than when focusing on the lsd... well as lsd as i got... but I want to incorporate some more pool time and alternate with the sprint and distance and try to benefit on both sides.

another week begins


so - its tuesday already - no run yesterday or the day before - no run this morning... worked out with Joyce my trainer tonight and she kicked the crap out of me as usual. Skinny little sadist.


Well so tomorrowAM I am on it again. I finished last week on the light side with 14 or 15 miles total... see my goal is to try to get some sonsistent mileage going... well my goal for the remainder of the week is 4 miles per day - so if i can make that happen wed-fri and then a 5k on sat... the dorothys dash... for all you interested readers - come join me on sat am. what the hell it'll be fun - it's in flower mound- it's only 3 miles...


oh and soccer started again - and this session I started a mens team... that should be interesting.

maybe i am ascared of the dark

Something about runnning down the middle of the street in the middle of the night that doesn't work for me... maybe takes some getting used to...

what if i run so far that i can't make it back... what if i run out of water... what if my battery dies in the ol' mp3... what if... well i better turn around before i get to far away from the car... I think I will try a loop next time rather than an out and back...

well my friend told me not to compare myself to other runners as it will just make me feel bad. lol.

oh slow is me


well...


ran the 5k in The Half - moderately motivated that I was able to run without walking - but not exactly a respectable time --- if I went any slower I would have been going backwards.


getting in some miles this week - hope to finish respectably as far as the total goes- kind of trying to rack up some total miles rather than speed... good thing!

the power of 10


ok- a week is under my belt again. I have a 10 week plan to get myself consistent by year end. Yes Virginia - only 10 weeks to Jan 1.


5 mile run scheduled for New Years Day.


Escalating mileage each odd week until then... 3 miles this week and next... 4 the next and next. 5 the next and next. six. then seven.


can't decide if i wanna do some 5ks in the fall... i guess why not it could only help on saturdays... ok i will.

my excuses


sick sorry broke down and tired. Damn cold weather...


Well maybe just lazy. I rean last friday and on tuesday and have felt a little under the weather with this half assed cold... but I dropped 10 seconds off my mile run tuesday night so all is not lost - lungs were burning bad when I finished and I walked around coughing like I had TB for a couple hours... but I lived.


I think my strategy is to alternate days with 1 mile hard run and weight lifting with 3 mile yog shooting for 27 min.


My 2 goals in the running area are 27 min and 8 min... I am close.
